Utah State University

In his first year at Utah State University, Philip Romney joined the disc golf team and designed temporary tournament courses for several fundraising events across campus. One of those events became the first PDGA-sanctioned collegiate tournament hosted on campus, welcoming five universities and 17 teams. Through two years of refinement, the layouts have become the standard tournament courses for the team's annual events. Today, Philip continues to compete for Utah State while helping grow the university's disc golf program.

Utah State University's scenic campus is home to more than 7,000 trees representing over 200 species. The iconic Old Main Hill, dramatic elevation changes, and panoramic views of Cache Valley create a one-of-a-kind setting for disc golf.
