Timberlane Recreation Camp
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently began revamping an unused property called Camp Timberlane. The head of the project, Elder Ron Cheney, reached out in Summer 2025, intending to install a disc golf course for park users. After further assessment, the plan was upgraded to a multi-course complex to accommodate the hundreds of anticipated summer campers and weekend public visitors. Two courses - one 9-hole and one 18-hole - will be private, for camper reservations only. The third course (completed Fall 2025) would have 18 more scenic holes available on weekends for public use.
Timberlane Camp is southwest of Duchesne on Highway 191, near the peak of the mountain pass. Each course claims a beautiful part of the forested mountain top, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills below. Work on the courses is projected to continue through the Fall 2026.
